CLEAN HOSPITALS engage in activities focused on:

  • Increasing the scientific, evidence-based literature in the field (via publications in peer-reviewed journals, research projects, etc.)
  • Developing and organizing training and certification programmes for use in different geographical regions
  • Working on an implementation science-based approach to the field
  • Discussing and driving forward technical innovations
  • Addressing common challenges and misconceptions in the field
  • Supporting information sharing/communication activities that impact groups stakeholders and/or key geographical areas
  • Supporting improved infrastructures for hospital cleaning
  • Analysis of existing guidelines, identify issues and make recommendations that are aligned with the current literature and best practice
  • Investigating the health economics impact of adequate environmental hygiene maintenance
  • Developing evidence-based recommendations for hospital environmental hygiene maintenance with focus on efficiency, effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and environmental considerations
  • Arranging the meetings necessary in order to plan, conduct and coordinate the above activities
